‘Member that movie,
Beetlejuice?
yeah, well,
they made it…
with a goose.
But the Beetlegoose
It got Beetle-loooose!
and the fluffers and the fighters
and the bitchers and the biters
couldn’t call no truce.
And Michael Keaton never
nabbed no mousse.
And the miniature foliage
sure weren’t no spruce.
And Dr. Seuss
with his head
in a noose
mumbling,
grumbling,
“It could be woose!”
“It could be woooose!”
as screenwriters re-rained rewrites like panicky Prousts
and bent-over big-timers bet all but their butt toots!
and someone’s dog,
someone’s dog it
woofity-woofs:
“Beetle-goose,
“Beetle-goose!
“B-E-E-T-L-E G–O–O–S–E!”
Yeah,
Beetlegoose
they made it,
they made it with a goose.

Very fun, David!! Well written too! I came to your site, because I saw you have a book “Growing Up Wired” and I thought you might have grown up in a house like mine. I mistook the metaphor! Ah, well, a brain injury, dyslexic moment for me! I might still like this book, as a grandmother concerned about this generation and their parents!
Thanks for reading and for your comment. And, yes I have noticed that people have enjoyed “Growing up Wired” for those reasons. That book is currently free now, over here: http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/146511 It’s also on Amazon and Nook.
